In the last few years of the 20th century, under the guidance of the National Building Materials Bureau's development strategy that meets the requirements of marketization, there has been a welcome change in the glass fiber industry both in terms of overall output and changes in the output of various advanced glass fiber products.
China's fiberglass industry started from the initial stage of reform and opening up. In 20 years, it has become the world's second largest producer of fiberglass products, and the output growth rate is significantly faster than the growth rate of the world's glass fiber production. In 1985, China's glass fiber output was only 71,000 tons flexed, barely accounting for 1/20 of the world's glass fiber production, but after entering the 1990s, the glass fiber industry has made rapid progress. In 2001-2003, the output of the world glass fiber industry stagnated. At the time of bottlenecks, China’s glass fiber production maintained its momentum of rapid growth. In 2003, the annual output of 473,000 tons had reached almost one-fifth of the world’s glass fiber output, and reached and exceeded the national “fifteen” plan in advance. Fibrous annual output of 380,000 to 400,000 tons of the goal.
